Technology to power net-zero

Committing to milestones to decrease our carbon footprint, and integrating sustainability across solutions and services, is our plan to bring total net emissions to zero by 2050.

Balancing business and the planet

Hexagon’s green tech investment subsidiary R-evolution pioneers a range of initiatives, from solar monitoring, to carbon capture.

What does net zero mean?

Achieving net zero means eliminating additional greenhouse gas emissions, including CO₂ and methane. CO₂ comes from burning oil, gas, and coal for energy and transport, while methane is generated by agriculture and landfills.

Our CO₂ reduction milestones

Under the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, nearly 200 countries agreed to limit global temperature rises to 1.5C. To achieve this, CO₂ emissions need to fall by nearly half by 2030 and reach net-zero by 2050.

Hexagon is on track for net-zero by 2050 with clear milestones for Scope 1, 2, 3, and avoided emissions by 2025, 2027, 2030, and 2050.
